
These cookies pass everybody’s taste test! And loaded with the essential fatty acid, Omega-3, they will help lift your mood and lower your triglycerides!
Ingredients
- 2 c. walnuts, ground in food processor
- 1/2 c. + 2 T. pure maple syrup
- 2 T. canola oil
- 2 t. vanilla extract
- 1 t. maple extract
- 2/3 c. whole wheat pastry flour 1 t. salt
- 1/3 c. flaxseed meal
- 1/3 c. chopped dates
- 1 c. chunky granola
- 1/3 c. carob chips
Instructions
- In a small bowl add all the ingredients in the given order, mixing well as you add ingredients.
- Spray a large cookie sheet with oil spray and preheat oven to 350o.
- Drop dough on a cookie sheet with a spoon or small scoop and flatten with a fork.
- Bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown on bottom, checking often to prevent burning.
- Let cool slightly before removing from the cookie sheet. Makes about two dozen.
